The PR-PROX proximity reader has a small, attractive design and all of the electronic components are potted making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. The PR-PROX reader accepts 5-16 volts, meeting most voltage requirements. It is available with either Wiegand interface or clock-and-data magnetic stripe interface. The 5-volt capability allows existing swipe-type access control installaitons to be easily upgraded to proximity technology simply by changing the existing reader heads and cards. This reader offers high reliability, consistent read range characteristics, and low power consumption in a single. The PR-PROX is designed for mounting directly on metal with no change in read range performance. PR-PROX interfaces with all existing Wiegand protocol access control systems.
